7 Days Uganda Safari Adventure

You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala by our guide, briefed about your trip, and then embark on your safari to Murchison Falls National Park. As you travel you will pass through Luwero, where your guide will narrate the historical events that led to the rise of the current government. Further north, you will stop at Nakasongola district, home to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will do rhino tracking — an exercise that will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Later exit the sanctuary and head for lunch in Masindi, then continue to Murchison Falls National Park. If time allows, you will visit the top of the falls for an impressive view of the thundering Murchison Falls. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Wake up early for breakfast and embark on a morning game drive in the park. The drive will expose you to wildlife including giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards, Jacksons hartebeest, topis, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and more. Later return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, drive to the boat docking station for a launch cruise on the Nile. The cruise is scenic and will reveal several bird and animal species such as huge Nile crocodiles, large schools of hippos, and other wildlife along the shores. After the cruise, transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early in the morning after breakfast, check out of your lodge and head for a brief game drive to increase your wildlife count. Later exit and transfer to Kibale National Park, a drive of approximately 5 hours. Kibale Forest National Park is known as the primates capital as it hosts one of the biggest concentrations of primates in the world in a single location. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Early in the morning after breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters by 8:00am for briefing, then embark on chimpanzee trekking — tracking the closest primates to humans in terms of DNA. Upon encountering them, you will spend one hour interacting and taking photos while observing their behavior and habits. Later exit and return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, embark on a nature walk to Bigodi Swamps to see birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, exit your lodge and head south to Bwindi Forest National Park, the popular home for Uganda’s mountain gorilla population. The drive will take approximately 6 hours, passing through beautiful terraced hills and the Ugandan countryside. Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on gorilla trekking. You will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, and the tracking exercise can take anywhere from 50 minutes to 6 hours depending on the proximity of the gorilla family. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will spend exactly one hour interacting with them and observing their feeding and nesting habits. Later exit the jungle, receive your tracking certificate, and return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa indigenous people to learn about their culture and practices. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Following your last day of the trip, wake up to a relaxed morning, have breakfast, and pack your bags. Exit Bwindi and drive to Kampala, arriving later in the afternoon. You will be dropped at either a prior booked hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
